Senior Management

DEJI OGUNTONADE (MD/CEO)

Mr Deji Oguntonade is currently the Managing Director/CEO of 3Line Card Management Limited Mr. Deji Oguntonade holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (1989) in Chemical Engineering (second class upper) from the University of Lagos. He also has an MBA in Information Technology. He has attended various courses in Nigeria, Switzerland (IMD), India (Infosys), London and South Africa in areas spanning Banking Operations, Fraud Detection, Customer Service, Building on Talent, Information Technology, Negotiation and Electronic Payment Systems, to mention a few..

Deji currently has over 17 years work experience, he started his Banking career in 1991 with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, his experience in the Bank spanned Operations, Marketing and Information Technology. He left Guaranty Trust for Equitorial Trust Bank in 1998 to Head the Product Development Unit and later the Collections Unit. By April 1999, Deji left for Comet Merchant Bank (which became First Atlantic Bank Plc., and now a merger partner in First Inland Bank Plc.). He served as a Team leader in the Corporate Banking Group then Head of Financial Control up till year 2000, when he became the Group Head for IT in First Atlantic Bank.

Deji was the Group Head for Information Technology in First Inland Bank plc as at the date of his resignation to join 3Line Card Management Limited. He also doubles as the Managing Director of the Banks electronic payment subsidiary – First Atlantic Online (Nigeria) Limited and as a Director of First Inland Online (Ghana) Limited. Deji’s major area of focus/interest has been developing/deploying electronic payment solutions as a competitive tool in the banking industry. Over the last seven years, Deji has pioneered several cutting-edge Technology products that are in application nationwide and fast gaining popularity beyond the shores of Nigeria. Of major significance are Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and FlashMeCash, which is a fast, safe and efficient means of transferring money using the GSM technology. Deji has also been given several personal awards and recognition. The most notable are: • 1997 1st Prize Winner of Guaranty Trust Bank’s Managers “Idea Hunt” • MTN Y’Hello Drummer Best Mover Award, (2004 and 2005) • Development in Nigeria Merit Award (DINMA), 2004 in recognition of his trailblazing efforts in the field of Information Technology. • Institute of Journalism & Management, Enugu Honorary Doctorate Degree (Declined by Deji for personal reasons)

Deji’s major strength’s are innovation, human capital development and a never say die attitude. He makes a positive impact on the lives of those he has encounters with and he is a role model for many players in the Financial and Information Technology Industry.

Finally, Deji is married to Funke Oguntonade and they are blessed with three kids.



FUNKE ADE-OJO (General Manager – Security and Risk)

Funke is currently the General Manager – Security and Risk for 3Line Card Management Limited. Before her appointment in May 2008 as General Manager she was the Head of Corporate Services.

As the Head of Corporate Services she leads the finance, HR, admin and legal units. She has experience of accounting, personnel management, and adminis¬trative issues in both the UK and Nigeria. She has been closely involved with raising outside equity funding, running the e-Business franchise of a prominent UK company and in advising several start-up and growing firms. She has over 10 years experience spanning across retail, insurance, telecommunication, professional services, and the IT industry.

She holds a Bachelors degree (honours) in Economics for Business, second class upper from the University of Westminster London. A Masters degree (honours) in Information Technology from the University of Nottingham, UK, where she was awarded a distinction in her final dissertation.

She began her career in 1996 as a Sales Executive at D.H. Evans London the multimillion pound retail business, she worked her way up to Assistant Manager Human Resources, Payroll and Training. Over time, she steadily mastered the skill of business management by working with a wide range of multinational establishments such as Reed Recruitment, TMP World Wide, Sun Life Assurance, NTL Communications, Accenture and Auravita Ltd.

Funke was part of the pioneering Project Team at Accenture UK that rolled-out an Enterprise Network Transformation for the UK’s second largest supermarket resulting in immediate savings of more than £35 million ($50 million) per year.

At Auravita Ltd an innovative software engineering company based in London, she was the Business-to-Business (B2B) Manager. She strategically managed the company’s on-line credit and payment system that integrated into HSBC Bank’s EDI system to facilitate e-Procurement and Settlement. She also Managed all the daily operations and controls of the company accounts, credit control, dispute resolution, electronic invoice presentment and payment, e-Procurement modules and proudly coordinated the development of several Third Party Online Exchanges still being deployed effectively by the company to date.

Funke serves on the board of Eurocrown Int’l, essence.com and Christ Signature. She was recently appointed as Coordinator of the ‘Changing Our World Foundation’ a registered community based NGO in Lagos aimed at alleviating poverty in the Obalende community.

Funke Ade-Ojo is happily married and blessed with 2 kids.



GRAHAM GUNN (COO)

Graham Gunn has over 18 years of experience in retail banking, business development and business-to-business relationship management in the cards payments sector and has an enviable record in developing new markets in the Sub Saharan Africa market. Graham started his career in 1989 at the Natal Building Society in South Africa, later to be known as NBS Bank Ltd. Here he was involved in various aspects of the Bank and was chosen as a Head Office Trainee, a management fast track programme.

In 1994 he joined Visa International in London, where he initially held a position in the Operating Regulations Department responsible for the Visa EMEA Region. He spent a number of years in the London office working in other departments namely the Consumer Products and Business Development units. Graham was part of a successful Visa CEMEA team that project managed and implemented the introduction of the Visa payments business in the Polish market.

In 1998 he joined the Visa CEMEA Regional office in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he was the Business Development Executive providing business leadership and support to Visa member banks throughout the South African and sub Saharan Africa markets. He was promoted to the role of Business Development Manager responsible for expanding Visa’s business in the South Arica market, notably with sole responsibility for the Region’s largest Member Bank - First National Bank. He was also the primary interface with the South Africa Government and South African Reserve Bank who were anxious to improve the payment efficiencies in the country and to take banking and payments to the under banked market. A notable feat was his ability to get the South African Post Office and its banking unit, Post Bank, to migrate its proprietary debit card to a Visa branded product and issue Visa cards to its over 6 million customers.

In 2005 he was appointed as Head of Card Operations for Visa Sub Saharan Africa where he was responsible for the implementation of Issuing, POS and ATM acquiring Programmes for the Region. In January 2007, he joined Nigeria’s largest Bank – United Bank for Africa Plc. as Head, Card Operations. As an Assistant General Manager he was part of the Management team responsible for maintaining and developing new and existing operational efficiencies for the Banks Card Unit and played a key role during a period when UBA experienced unprecedented card growth and performance.

In May 2008 Graham joined 3 Line Card Management Limited as Chief Operating Officer.

Graham is married with twin girls. He is a keen golfer and a dedicated family man.
